What's new in Looper Studio

   build 26.10.4October 19, 2026

   Improved Windows: the installer puts the app in Program Files by default. You can still choose "Install for me only". About > Acknowledgements lists every open-source part the app uses, with the full licence texts. When an action fails, a crash report (if you allow them) now says why, so we can find the cause.

   Fixed Check for updates, Download, Force sync, Load history, Sign in, Subscribe and Restore purchases in Settings work again. They showed "That action could not be completed". Right after launch or sign-in, while your licence is being checked, actions now wait for the check instead of failing with a "not confirmed yet" message.

   New Crash reports — if the app crashes, it can send a report so we can fix the cause. It asks you first, and you can turn it off in Settings. Drop a MIDI file onto an instrument track to import it. Pair the phone remote with a one-time code.

   Improved Automation has its own button in the bottom bar. Duplicate Track now copies the clips, the instrument and both effect chains. Mute, Clear and Stop fade a loop out instead of cutting it. In Perform, reverb and delay ring out when a song ends. Clearer messages: sign-in errors, an audio device or buffer size that is refused, a MIDI port that does not open, and a plug-in that fails to load or crashes (with Reset and Retry). Home tells you when your system blocks the song library, and how to allow it. An export never overwrites a file, and the mix is named after the song. Every MIDI input shows its channel filter. Delete Setlist asks first. Windows and Linux: automatic update check, and paste audio from the clipboard.

   Fixed Losing the network no longer signs you out or mutes the audio. Sync: every take syncs, playing a song no longer makes a conflict, and the conflict dialog names each device. Restoring a take keeps its audio and the tempo it was recorded at. A new recording pass no longer writes into the previous take. Redo brings back an imported, pasted or recorded clip with its audio. Dragging a section or loop region is one undo step. A footswitch or MIDI-mapped Play/Stop/Record acts like the buttons. Switching from MIDI clock to Internal keeps the song's tempo. Section launch counts bars correctly in time signatures like 6/8. Windows: Settings > Remote no longer crashes with a paired phone. Convolution works on Windows and Linux, and a menu crash on Linux is fixed. iPad: the splash screen is centred in landscape. Clicking a menu's own button now closes the menu.

   New LS Drums and LS Bass — two built-in instruments. Learn the drum pads from your controller; switch the bass to Poly for chords. Play drawer — on-screen pads and keys to play and record without a controller. Keys light up as a clip plays. Redesigned effects — every effect has a new card, plus a new reverb, Graphic EQ, Convolution and real sidechain. Plugin drawer — see the whole chain at a glance, compare settings with A/B, save and load chains. Perform mode — a stage view with large track headers, locked clips and your setlist at the side. Automation drawer — draw and edit automation, with touch-size lane controls. An Auto tag shows which tracks have automation. New mixer — volume faders beside the meters, a cleaner layout, and a touch layout on iPad. Tuner in the bottom bar. Improved New track headers and clearer clips. The Master track is now the last row of the track list. Lock clips (Cmd+L), the Slide tool, and a right-click menu on clips. A redesigned MIDI editor with an audition bar. iPad: Password AutoFill at sign-in and a narrower portrait sidebar. Fixed No more clicks where a clip starts, ends or loops. Opening Apple's Graphic EQ window no longer crashes the app. A MIDI output works again after you replug it. Undo after moving or resizing a clip works. Waveforms no longer wiggle while the view scrolls. A large sync upload no longer gets stuck after an iPad update.

   build 26.9.3September 26, 2026

   Takes Every clip now keeps its last 10 takes. Older ones go to the Trash, so nothing is lost by surprise. A new Takes window lists a clip's takes, and a Delete Takes dialog tells you exactly what will be removed. New in Settings: a Storage page. It shows how much space alternate takes and unused audio use, and lets you clear them.

   Mixer and plugins Buses and Master accept knob edits, and reach the plugin drawer, mixer and node editor. Plugin quantize settings survive a reload. The bypass button always shows the real state.

   Fixes Rename Song starts with the name you see, not the folder name. Home: a stray toast is gone, the last setlist is remembered, and you can type a tempo. A deleted song no longer takes over the folder of a live song with the same name in cloud sync. An open menu no longer highlights a row when the pointer is outside it.

   iPad Looper Studio for iPad is now available to testers through TestFlight.

5. v1.0.2

   build 26.9.2September 22, 2026

   Improved Downloads are now signed. On macOS the app is also notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning. Linux: the .deb package comes with a signature, so you can check that the file is really from us. Behind the scenes: a new release process, so updates reach you faster and more reliably.
